Who We Are
A foundation, a long-term commitment
Fundação Lakhani’s recognition as a legal entity was published in the Diário da República — Portugal’s official government gazette — on 10 February 2026. We are currently pursuing formal Public Utility Status (Estatuto de Utilidade Pública) under Portuguese law.
Our flagship project is the restoration of the Colégio de São Fiel (1852) in Castelo Branco, supported by a favourable opinion from the Câmara Municipal de Castelo Branco (Castelo Branco City Council) recognising the project’s relevant municipal public interest.

Foundation Instituted
Fundação Lakhani is formally instituted in Portugal, establishing its official headquarters in the city of Oeiras.
10 February 2026
Legal Recognition Published
Our recognition as a legal entity is formally published in the Diário da República, Portugal’s official gazette.

Mou With Association
Fundação Lakhani signs a Memorandum of Understanding with a partner association, formalising a new area of collaboration.

Castelo Branco Favourable Opinion
The Câmara Municipal de Castelo Branco issues a favourable opinion supporting restoration of the Colégio de São Fiel.
