Associação Casa da Índia — Bharath Bhavan is hosting the 7th edition of Festival Gandhi, and TLG Foundation is joining this year as a supporting and promotional partner.

The festival celebrates the universal values of Mahatma Gandhi — peace, unity, and global citizenship (Paz, Integração e Cidadania Global) — with a full day dedicated to Indian culture, arts, food, and community solidarity in Portugal:

  • Exhibition on Mahatma Gandhi’s life, philosophy, and peace legacy
  • Yoga classes, Surya Namaskar, and free Ayurvedic consultations
  • Authentic Indian street food, tea stalls, and interactive cooking workshops (Banana Lassi, Chana Chaat, Cheese Naan, Indian pancakes)
  • Bollywood, Kathak, Garba, and folk dance performances & workshops
  • Sari styling, henna art, turban (pagdee) photo wall, and cricket workshops
  • Free legal advice and consultations for immigrants throughout the day
  • Children’s fun zone with creative painting, group dance, and bouncy castles

As part of the festival, TLG Foundation is partnering with Associação Casa da Índia to launch a Youth Creative Competition across five creative categories (Short Film, Visual Art, Photography, and Essay/Short Story).
